NEW THIS YEAR:
We're excited to offer a new convenience for this dance season! To make recital planning a little easier, you now have the option to include select recital items in your tuition payments instead of paying for them all at recital time.
If you'd like to take advantage of this option, simply check the items you would like included in your tuition:
☐ Recital T-shirt (Dancers Only): $15
☐ Souvenir Program (Dance Yearbook): $25
☐ Recital Video (Digital Link):
☐ One Show: $25
☐ Both Shows: $40
☐ Recital Video (Physical Copy):
☐ One Show: $30
☐ Both Shows: $50
If you choose to take advantage of our payment plan, you can spread the cost of your selected recital items over your tuition payments throughout the season. If you prefer to pay in full, you'll have the opportunity to take care of these expenses at the beginning of the dance season rather than during the busy spring recital season, when ticket purchases, Patron Ads, school events, and other expenses often occur.
This option is completely optional. If you prefer, you may still purchase these recital items separately closer to recital time.

ATTENDANCE POLICY:
During the Summer Session, attending class on a regular basis is important; however, we understand that vacation and family events occur. Please consider that dedication to class not only ensures students are prepared for the end of summer showcase, but also helps students get the most out of their dance experience. Therefore, all students who participate in Loch Raven Dance Program’s Summer Session must comply with the program’s attendance policy. We understand that children have other activities, and may get sick, so please let us know ahead of time about your child's absence (if/when possible). Of course, there are special circumstances, so if your child has a serious injury/illness, please make sure to contact his/her teacher.
Tardiness:
A student will be considered absent if he/she is late to class by 15 minutes or more and may not be permitted in class as it is a disruption to the teacher and other students.
Attendance Policy Details:
If your child is absent from 2 consecutive classes and/or 3 total classes, you will receive an e-mail reminder of our policy. If your child misses 5 classes, you will receive an e-mail notice to schedule a meeting. If more than 5 classes are missed, the chairperson and teachers reserve the right to determine whether your child will be able to participate in the recital. A refund will not be issued if your child is removed from the program due to attendance issues. Students who miss mandatory stage and dress rehearsals (without prior approval) will not be permitted to perform in the recital.

LOCH RAVEN DANCE TROUPE’S PARENT/DANCER CONTRACT 2026-2027
By registering for the dance program, you agree to the following:
*DANCERS MAY NOT PARTICIPATE UNTIL A CONTRACT HAS BEEN SIGNED.
-
Parents are required to accompany dancers 10 and under into the building and remain with their child until the teacher has welcomed the child into the dance room. Parents are welcome to stay in the rec building while their child attends class. Parents are asked to sit in the hallway while class is in session.
-
The dance program is only responsible for your child during their specified dance times. Any child not registered with the program will not be permitted to stay without adult supervision.
-
Dancers should be picked up promptly from class as well as arrive on time. Parents and/or those picking up students from dance are asked to be very sensitive of the extra burden placed on the dance program and teachers when students need to be supervised after the pick-up time. Dancers not picked up within 10 minutes of the class end time will have a $25.00 fee added to their tuition each time the late pick-up occurs.
-
(FALL PROGRAM) ATTENDANCE POLICY: Attending class on a regular basis is imperative. A refund will not be issued if the dancer is removed from the program due to attendance issues. -
A returned check or online invalid payment will result in a $35.00 fee being placed on the account of the dancer, no matter the reason. Each account will be allowed two return checks after which payment by personal check will not be accepted. Acceptable forms of payment will be in cash, money order, or certified check.
-

INCLEMENT WEATHER POLICY:
In the event of bad weather, we follow the Baltimore County Public Schools (BCPS) system. If BCPS closes for the day or cancels after school/evening activities, then classes are cancelled. If there are BCPS delays in the morning, we will still have classes that afternoon/evening. If classes are cancelled, we do our best to notify parents/dancers via email as soon as possible. *There are some situations (on the weekends) where BCPS closes school sites only. As the rec center is NOT a school site, we are permitted to then have classes. We will keep you posted when this occurs. Please be sure to diligently check the news and/or email when inclement weather occurs.
