Each dance style listed above is held once a week for approximately 30 weeks (including Saturday rehearsals) with a focus on dance training/technique, poise, and stage presence. We do our best to make the classes run back-to-back for dancers taking two or more classes. Our program runs from September 29, 2018 until mid-May, 2019 (recital dates TBD). Classes are held on Monday and Wednesday evenings for Intermediate students, Thursday evenings for Advanced students, and all day on Saturdays for students 12 and under (unless previously identified by the teaching staff as Intermediate or Advanced). We create classes after registration as we do not want to turn any dancers away when age groups fill up. If you sign up and are unable to make any of the class times for your child's age group, we will give you a full refund. Tuition must be up-to-date and/or paid in full for dancers to participate in weekly classes, receive their costumes in March/April, and participate in the recital.

ATTENDANCE AND CODE OF CONDUCT POLICY:

During the Fall/Spring (Recital) Session, attending class on a regular basis is imperative.  Dedication to class not only ensures students are prepared for the recital, but also helps students get the most out of their dance experience.  Therefore, all students who participate in Loch Raven Dance Program’s Recital Session must comply with the program’s attendance policy. We understand that children have other activities, and may get sick, so please let us know ahead of time about your child's absence (if/when possible). Of course, there are special circumstances, so if your child has a serious injury/illness, please make sure to contact his/her teacher.

Tardiness
A student will be considered absent if he/she is late to class by 15 minutes or more.

Attendance Policy Details:

If your child is absent from 2 consecutive classes and/or 3 total classes, you will receive an e-mail reminder of our policy. If your child misses 5 classes, you will receive an e-mail notice to schedule a meeting. If more than 5 classes are missed, the chairperson and teachers reserve the right to determine whether your child will be able to participate in the recital. A refund will not be issued if your child is removed from the program due to attendance issues. Students who miss mandatory stage and dress rehearsals (without prior approval) will not be permitted to perform in the recital.

Please review the Loch Raven Dance Troupe Code of Conduct with your child prior to the dance year. Each registrant is required to submit a signed form and/or agree to the terms on online registration in order to participate.

As the rec center is NOT a school site, we are permitted to then have classes.  We will keep you posted when this occurs.  Please be sure to diligently check the news and/or email when inclement weather occurs.
