Mission Statement

PKLR Girls Lacrosse is a joint venture between the Loch Raven and Parkville Girls Lacrosse programs, which allows us to pool our resources, coaches, and players to provide more teams for a more competitive travel lacrosse experience for participants at all levels of skill and experience.  We are dedicated to providing training for competitive level travel lacrosse in a positive learning environment.  We measure our success by our players' desire to compete through their enjoyment of the game and their continuous improvement as athletes and team players.

PKLR Participation in the Maryland Youth Lacrosse Association Travel League

For ages 7-14 our teams play league games with the Maryland Youth Lacrosse Association travel league (MYLA).  MYLA provides multiple divisions within each age group to foster appropriate levels of competition for youth players at various stages of experience and skill levels.  For age brackets where PKLR fields multiple teams, participants will be evaluated for team placement.  MYLA has mandatory division alignments for participating programs based on a program's size and number of teams.  All participants make a team.  All teams have qualified and trained coaches with a focus on appropriate individual skill development, teamwork and team concepts, and tactical training.  MYLA sets a high standard of conduct for all participants including players, coaches and spectators.
